Cherubins Day Nursery is situated in a large detached grade II listed building and stands in approximately half an acre of land.
At Cherubins we recognise the rich diversity of culture and religion within the community and welcome this wealth of information in the nursery. We believe that children have the right to a provision which respects and recognises a child's individual needs and aim to provide this within the nursery.
At Cherubin's we will provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment to children aged between 3 months to 5 years. Parents will be assured that their child will be well cared for whilst benefiting from the same values from home.
We believe that parents/carers are their child/rens first educators and we undertake to encourage full participation and involvement in our work. It is crucial to ensure the transition between home and the Nursery is almost seamless.
We will ensure that all parent/carers are kept fully informed on a regular basis. One of the ways this will be implemented is by having an assigned key worker, who will carryout the following:
- Observe the development of your child/ren.
- Having a settling procedure for children and parent/carers.
- Parents/carers are welcome to have a quick chat at 'drop off' or collection time with their key worker.
- Provide daily information book for your children under 2's for example sleep times, feeding and general progress.
We provide a forum for parent/carers to share their experiences, skills and time to participate and be involved in developing the nursery.
At Cherubin's, we recognise that every child is individual and has varying needs and abilities we plan every child's day to make it fun and educational. All activities are carefully planned and are prepared and appropriate for each individual child's age and stage of development. These planned activities will support and develop the holistic development of your children.
